PET CALENDAR CASTING! CALLING ALL PETS!

Scott Rice is once again hosting a casting call for all the adorable pets in the Kansas City Area, to create a FURniture filled 2024 pet calendar. We are excited to announce our partnership with ON A MISSION KC . On A Mission KC exists to bring awareness to rural animal shelters, teach them sustainability practices, promote long-term shelter pets, and see them thrive in their community.

For a $20 entry fee, you will receive a professional photo of your pet and entry into the contest. All profit from this campaign go directly to ON A MISSION KC.

How It Works

Submitting your Pets

Submit your pet entry application, photo(s) of your pet(s) and your $20 entry fee. ($10 for each additional pet entered)
A panel of judges will determine the 12 pets that will earn the title of Pet of the Month. We are excited to announce our cover will showcase a rescue from On A Mission KC.
ALL participating pets will receive one PROFESSIONAL PORTRAIT session by Stuart Heidmann with Heidmann Photography at the Scott Rice Work/Life Center in Lenexa, KS.
Profit from this campaign goes directly to On A Mission KC.

Winning Pet Calendar Portrait Session 1: October 20th

More about On A Mission KC

Scott Poore is known for his hard work, dedication, and unique ideas in helping find long-term shelter pets a forever home. And when he hears of an animal shelter lacking a much-needed resource, he steps in, advocates, and helps bring life-changing donations. Through his animal rescue work over the years, he recognized that rural animal shelters struggle more with adoptions and finances than shelters in the city. Small communities mean less foot traffic and fewer donations. But what if foot traffic is brought to them virtually? And what if that awareness brought in more donations? Rural animal shelters would see a positive impact. This vision inspired On A Mission KC and will change the rural animal shelters all over the country.

2020 FURniture and Friends Campaign

We started our first campaign back in 2019 with the idea of bringing together a few of our favorite things - furniture and furry friends. And from this idea, the FURniture + Friends Campaign was born! We created the FURniture + Friends calendar to raise money for local animal shelter, involve clients, industry partners and their pets! Each year since, we’ve created a calendar featuring adorable pets and showcasing beautiful furniture from our manufacture partners - all for a good cause!
